Not the lightest carbon fiber seat post available, the EC90 is still a solid upgrade choice for those looking to shed a few pounds...

My 2¢:

Easton is known for making solid products, made in the good'ole US of A and the EC90 is no departure. A solid carbon fiber tube provides plenty of strength so as not to snap during a hard ride and surprise you with a poke in the under carriage. It's 100% carbon, the post, the cap and the rocker adjustment for the saddle angle.

The EC90 has a setback of 30mm to 50mm which is quite helpful for the rider with a longer torso. It utilizes a single bolt adjustment for the saddle angle. It is quite a common method but something I'd rather not see on a carbon fiber post. The reason for this is the "softness" of the carbon fiber material does not hold up well should the seat adjustment slip. After only one or two slips, depending on the severity, your left with a useless post. (see pictures in the gallery below for examples). Posts with two bolt adjustment are really required for carbon fiber posts, and defiantly nice to have on any setup.

It does an O.K. job at absorbing road vibrations, all in all this is a decent post. Not the lightest, not the heaviest.

UPDATE: The newer models of the EC90 have corrected a LOT of the issues mentioned in this review. I am trying to get my hands on one and will update you all with a new review so stay tuned!
